During our meetings, we will focus primarily on mental training, such as positive imagery, relaxation techniques, and self-talk, in order to promote mental toughness and boost performance. We will also address any emotional issues that may be negatively impacting your performance.

We also understand that an athlete’s support network is multi-faceted; therefore, we conduct consultations with physicians, physical therapists, coaches, and trainers to facilitate the best possible results both on and off the field. We can make referrals to other professionals when appropriate.

Athletes at all levels experience pressure, whether from their parents, their coaches, or themselves. Unfortunately, this mental stress can often negatively impact physical performance.

That’s why we offer individualized programs for athletes of all ages and skill levels. These range from a few sessions to develop a toolbox of techniques to ongoing performance enhancement sessions.

We have found that sports psychology is particularly effective for teenage athletes, who can often experience a stressful overlap between their athletic and academic endeavors. Working with a sport psychologist can provide you with the set of skills you need to manage diverse expectations and thrive.

Following an initial face-to-face session, subsequent appointments may be held virtually for traveling athletes. We can discuss this option further during your consultation.
